There's Hemlock water dropwart (Oenanthe crocata) which is the UK's most toxic plant, and grows in rivers and damp areas, and there's common hemlock (Conium maculatum) which grows everywhere basically.
All councils now have the ability to charge CIL, Community Infrastructure Levy, which makes small developments pay contributions towards schools roads etc.

As above. If the land was expropriated for zero value and all that taken off the sticker price on new houses would fall by maybe 20%. Except that it wouldn't because everyone else in the chain would take a extra cut - Local Authority, house builders, contractors, materials suppliers etc etc, and...
I've found Thrust herbicide works well, I think its the dicamba in it that deals with it. Thrust is Ok for knapsacks too. I've also found that you can dig the tap root out quite easily if you loosen the soil around it with a fork, they come up quite easily then. I've got one or two patches that...
Or none of the above if you are a 'protected species'.

I finally got a response from the RPA:
So it seems anyone with an SBI who already qualifies for delinked payments can import up to £30k worth of reference data (and thus boost their delinked payments) without any restrictions.
Thats not correct, IGL2 (winter bird food on improved grassland) is included in the 25% cap, and both grazing and cutting are allowed in this option, you just have to cut/graze early enough that it can go to seed by the autumn.
Why would anything come to court? Either they accept the application, or throw it back at you as not according to 'the rules'. I guess you just have to try it and see. Its Schrodinger's SFI option - its both allowable and not allowable at the same time and you only find out which it is when you...
Whats the understanding on the wording of the new 25% cap? It now says in the handbook that the total per holding cannot exceed 25% but on the individual options it also says:
You can apply for this action on either the total SFI available area in each land parcel shown in your SFI application...
I had wondered if wrapping the joints in thick plastic sheeting and cable tying it down into the corrugations would stop them. Looks like digging it up and doing that is a job for the summer when things are (hopefully) a bit dryer🤞
Putting twin wall close to a willow tree won't stop the roots getting in. 2 years ago I installed a new field drain outfall that went close-ish to a willow tree, it ran perfectly for 18 months, then late last year it stopped and water started oozing up everywhere. Rodded it the other day, tree...
I sold some land 3 years ago, I've spoken to the NG wayleave dept multiple times about getting the poles transferred to the new owner and nothing has ever been done. I've given up now, the cheques keep coming and I bin them. Just another bunch of chancers who are 'working from home' and doing SFA.
Er, yes there has, one that is undoubtedly affecting our weather patterns, and those of the entire globe too:

Because they are agreed for us by those masters of negotiation, the NFU. Who exactly gave the NFU the right to negotiate on my behalf I don't know, I've never been a member. I wonder if its possible to approach the grid company and demand they negotiate with you direct, as you are not an NFU...
