This thread is very interesting to me as a dairy farmer just about to install 70kw of panels on an East/West roof, the logic being that we will get more early and late as that is when we use the most electric, we are also going to put a new feed into the farmhouse from the farm so we can utilise...

Can have secondhand ones delivered for £15 with new straps so less than that.

Having just bought a new Kramer Kt407 after multiple JCB’s I am very impressed.Yes joystick does take some getting used to but the hydrostatic gearbox is so smooth compared to a torque converter. Hydraulics if anything are a bit to fast but you can turn them down.

I’ve just installed three new heat recovery tanks and there is no electricity used, they have no moving parts, pumps etc. electric use has dropped by just over 20%

They were made by John Sheppard feeders, he made the tin doors and loads of other stuff here. Great firm.

Two Delaval DVP pumps here one is ten years old, no trouble at all with pump, have had the vacuum sensor fail once.

Been using Delpro for two months now after changing parlours, has taken a while to get used to as we were running Alpro on a simple basis. Delpro wants you to input large amounts of info that I don’t need or want, but starting to find ways around it slowly.

Hi, was wondering if there is anyone on here running an Optum and what there opinions are, they seem to be relatively good value secondhand with 2000hrs on them. Main jobs would be power harrowing, mowing and tankering. TIA

Fibreglass been in for nearly twelve years, was good for about eight years then started to come away hence my thinking of not rendering the blocks to provide a good key.
