Does anyone know how accurate the Scottish Farmer is about Lfass not being paid until late June:banghead::banghead::banghead: and is anyone else sick to the back teeth of this continuous messing with payments?!!
This is the problem. We are getting drip fed that we should be greatful that we are getting anything at all and if we don't behave they will take it away and that farmers are over subsidised anyway. Taking advantage of the fact that the majority of us work alone, in a workplace that is also our...
I agree
How is it that all farms have been mapped on a computer system for many years, that when they came to check the field boundaries they were able to penalise and claw back payment on even a very small mistake (large hill farm, open March with no boundary fencing) therefore they must...
5 th generation Tenant farmer who dared to try and buy some land for long term security. While rent is paid mortgage is not Only so long AMC will hold out. Some may call it reckless I call it calculated risk. But the delay in payment to a business like this is very detrimental. Just trying to...

Had decided not to use a certain company for bookings let them know in plenty time no bookings pending or anything but have been informed I need to pay them £1000 to not proceed in 2016
The flooding is the last thing in a long line of processes. El Niño, bringing food from the other side of the world and "important flying business class meetings" maybe being further up the list of processes. Wish more had your courage and intelligence to speak up for farming so thank you
Used to get this with wandering sheep(know not as much poaching but could eat a lot of expensive plants) was advised that it was up to the property owner to secure their gardens against wandering stock. Otherwise bottle of wine and some nitrogen for the moss;)
Maybe if we stopped bringing so much lamb all the way across the world we would have better weather for lambing and better return for our lambs. Nothing against the Kiwis, they have huge markets closer to home, it is just about logistics and common sense
Is it not time that farming in general should start speaking a little louder. The longer we let idiots like Monbiot voice his ill informed ideas and we remain silent the worse it is for the industry overall. We are turning out 7 days a week in the wettest weather for a long time (it is El Niño...
