Pre lamb crutch with a couple of blows over the belly to keep access nice and clear. Contractor does it with a Hecton crate on compressed air. Not had slipped lambs before and minimal stress for the ewe.
Keen to try something like this. We’re getting some GS4 in the ground on stewardship and current thinking was graze the PP hard at lambing, spray off, summer crop, drill GS4 in july/august. Seem sensible?
Annoying that the weaning flaps are yellow. Had the odd calf lose one and it’s a pain in the arse to find in straw! Red or blue I guess would be improvements.
Our contractors used to love it. Better than their own stuff in the hot hot weather. Never had to get off the tractor.

Had our Nugent a couple of years now, no issues. Love it. Swear jar doesn’t fill as quickly as it used to.
