I would have got discs if the budget allowed. This year after beet the tines we’re quite useful, but for the second wheats I only used the tines behind the wheels.
I bought a 4m tine Rapid. It’s been good but the system disc is much better for trash. If it starts to block I lift out every other tine - in this case I pretty much create a seedbed before drilling.
The panels feed in to a cabin which is about 40m from the meter in the house. So I would need a wifi sensor? Then how do I sense what the house is consuming ( as the cabin supply in to the board may be positive or negative)?
Yes, not quite like for like - just pointing out that they compliment each other well. I’m interested in this thread as I would like some battery storage, but I can’t figure out how to charge them from wind and solar. The solar feeds in to a circuit away from the main board, which makes it tricky.
I have 3.6kw solar and 5kw wind. I’ve been monitoring both since August weekly - a few weeks in the summer the solar won, but wind is currently in the lead. The last few weeks the solar has done the best part of bugger all and the wind is still 100kwh +
I’ve tried many different glass cleaners. The lime scale is set like concrete. I’ve tried vinegar but maybe need something that keeps it there to soak in.
Does anyone have any good tips for removing hard water residues that dry on to windows after washing?
loader gets washed every day in hard water area and it’s not long before you can hardly see through windows.
Planning on drying after washing, but need to get them clean first.
If you follow the jet stream forecast on here:
https://www.netweather.tv/charts-and-data/jetstream
It gives a much better idea of general weather patterns than trying to work it out from an app. It only takes a small deviation in the stream to make a massive difference to the weather on the...
I don’t want to turn mine off just yet. The heat given off will soon be useful and I’ve adjusted the eco settings to delay the ovens coming on until the sun is up. Except Sunday, which is croissant day of course.
I’ll bare it in mind. The wind peaked at 4.5 and solar at 3.5, so I would have thought it will be ok. Is there an easy way of monitoring what is going in and out at the meter?
I was told it’s ok to export if under 4kw. Though I admit I haven’t checked this. Also told that forklift batteries are the most economical form of electrical storage. For the time being I’m going to get some heat storage sorted out.
I’m hoping to get a bit more than 3000 with the tracking. Power is ac and surplus goes in to the grid with no payment. Ideally I need some sort of storage, whether that’s battery, heat or hydrogen I’m not sure yet.
