would It be better to leave a longish stubble when combining the oats ? don't think I will have time to let the oats chit and spray off before drilling the wheat , so is there a cheap spray I can use a couple of times to kill the oats off in the growing crop of wheat ?

not convinced, when they finish eating the vol osr, they set about shredding the wheat plants which are only at one leaf , so doesn't take long to finish the plant off

plus I have pelleted the wheat 4 times just to keep whats there going ,thinking osr is a no go if you want to direct drill on strong land

my slugs are a lot worse with no tilling wheat into osr stubbles both with drilling on the green and the old fashion way
