    Paint spraying

Cheers for that. Seeing as we have yet another wet day I may go and have a look.

    Paint spraying

I have an old crawler I want to re spray. Lots of daft bits to do on it. May put the bonnet and other panels out to a professional but want to do the rest my self. Wheres best to get a decent spray gun and what should I be looking for?

8m Power harrows, does anyone run one?

Not yet, we have kept it as a back up. We were doing 1800acres through the 6m each summer. It can now take a break and hopefully the 8m will get around it far quicker but it’s there if something goes wrong.

8m Power harrows, does anyone run one?

I ended up buying a Kuhn following some positive comments. The sulky seems to be only rated to 360hp and with past experience on our land I’d like to have a gearbox rated to more than what’s hanging off the front.

    WiFi in an old farmhouse

I sort of looked but didn’t see the glaringly obvious thread. Thankyou

    WiFi in an old farmhouse

We have wifi in the house but the size of the house and the thickness of walls makes it hard to get it around. It comes in from the office from a dish to a node in the house. How do we get it around the house more reliably? I don’t have a great understanding of WiFi so please use small simple words.

    Hydraulic rams

We have a 12t trailer we put a dump body on. Due to some over zealous loading when moving soil this summer we destroyed one of the rams when it went though the trailer bottom and bent. Where would good place to go for a 3 stage ram? We usually just go to a hydraulic shop and get one remade but...

8m Power harrows, does anyone run one?

Just looking to swap our 6m harrow for an 8m. Kuhn, Maschio and Alpego are the options. Does anyone run one or have any experience of them? Just after some users views, they all have their differences. We’ve a;ways had Kuhn but they are 28 rotors compared to 32. Kuhn has the clod board on the...

    Excavator bucket size for muck/compost

We have an old bobcat bucket on a 14t Volvo. Your not digging with it so it doesn't need to be as strong, save some weight in metal that you can then fill with muck. You could get away with a bigger bucket for turning as you will be working closer, when you start loading trailers or spreaders...

    Bateman with John Deere starfire

Morning, thanks for the quick reply. We had an agleader system on before but wanted to get it in line with the rest of the farm. It’s the look ahead for the section control I want to get setup. With the weather as it is it doesn’t lend itself to setting sprayers up when it’s freezing.

    Bateman with John Deere starfire

Does anyone run a Bateman with a JD screen and controller? Just want some idea of where a few settings need to be. Mainly the look ahead settings. cheers Will

    Largest Arable Field in England

Polarising is possibly one of the kinder descriptions. He has mellowed slightly in his older age.

    Largest Arable Field in England

I remember when stubble burning was fun doing the 500acre in one hit. It was a great farm in its time, big fields and well setup. Drilling with a 12m drill through the valleys, no gps and still dead straight. They were some good operators.

    Largest Arable Field in England

There is a field near Maidenwell, Louth that is around 250acres. It won’t win the competition today but it was supposed to be the largest field ploughed by horses back in the day.

    Paint for classic machinery

I need some paint for a 1952 John Deere MC. How do you go about finding what real code it should be? I know the current green is different to the original greens. Cheers Will
