Spec is what pushes price up.
You can get a standard spec 5M JD for not much more than that and even a standard spec 6M for way under 90k some suggesting, but get a bit carried away ticking the extras list and the price soon rises.
Flail mowers do do a good job and leave a nice finish.
Quite a few parks / dog walking fields locally using them.

The neutral start switch is identified in the earlier posts, remove the 2 wires and ljoin them together with a pair of long nose pliers or a split pin and see if it starts then.
if it does then that proves all electrics working.
Switch is easy to remove and test

A power command transmission has 9 clutches of which 3 clutches are engaged in each gear.
Excluding 19th gear which is a clutch on its own.
A & B clutch - one does all odd gears, one does all even gears
C clutch does gears 1&2, 7&8, 13&14
D clutch does gears 3&4, 9&10, 15&16,
E clutch does...
Remember to update your mechanic on your investigations as if now has a wrong relay in the wrong place, it Could now have 2 faults one is now man made.
Low hydraulic oil cannot cause loss of drive.
The hydraulic and transmission circuits are completely separate.
Transmission oil in the long springy dispsick under the bonnet. Check level when cold or been stood for 15 mins or so.
Is fault evident in all reverse gears?
If you have taken a particular interest in the 5125R John Deere, then you certainly ought to consider the 6120M (the newer one. With the sloped bonnet) very compact and powerful
At least get the bill sent asap, cos he certainly ain’t going to pay the bill you haven’t sent.
Clocks ticking, you are just as bad if you take 30 days to send invoice.
Deliver and pass the invoice by hand, this then puts the “response to the invoice” over on to the customer. At that point you have the opportunity to state payment terms if they do not offer to pay on receiving your invonce.
I can’t be the only one reading this thinking …….. if the ground is so rough that you are being thrown out the seat hitting the roof, then you are going too fast………..?

There are countless threads on here about what oil shall I put in here, that oil is too dear, I have a fault, how can I map it out without fixing it, and some horrendous bodged repairs...
