They profit from buying from farmers who want to protect the land and sell it off in plots for building

CLC recently bought some greenbelt land from a farmer near me, under the cover of "conservation". They parceled it up into plots to sell off for building. The Local council was quick to slap an injuction on them as soon as they were aware, but, I wonder how many times they got away with it...
