They are hellishly noisy at 1000, part of the reason I sold mine in the end. A full day at grass and your ears will bleed :ROFLMAO:
Good mower though. If 1000 is on top it'll be that. i used to mow at 950/1000 crop dependant. Have a look at the conditioner belts before you start, if it's new...

Me and dad went halves on a MS362, holly sh!t what a saw. We just use it for tree lopping and chopping up for log burners as you are wanting, really really impressed with it and a big improvement from the MS180 we still have that's just been demoted to pruning up now
