Had someone telling me they were buying barley straw at £40 tonne off the field today. Told them to fill their shed. Can’t see money in it at that for the likes of us.

Not a lot of straw movements / interest at the minute though. We have a shed full. All I have spoken to seem to be waiting it out a little.

Night and day difference between the cx740 it replaces!

First time out with the new to us CX on Talisman Winter Barley. 8.5t/ha over the weighbridge. Happy with that yield as on one of our worst fields. Plenty of straw on it too.

Where is Barley straw looking likely to be at this season per ton ex field? Yorkshire area.
