    Salt. Blocks pre lambing

Biggest help I've seen with rocksalt is about a week or so after lambing putting it out to help combat against orf, but other than that it's available to my ewes all year but how much of a difference it makes I'm not sure

As all have said feed little concetrates to singles, plenty of hay and water and buckets! I run around 30 ewes, there good ewes tend to be good mother's that's all you need is luck......and look out you'll be up to 30+ ewes in no time

    best option for finished cattle

Depends on what your looking for, markets around me would be whitland, llandovery Carmarthen and Brecon, Brecon with top notch quality cattle (shapey) but places like carms whitland would be more dairy bred, but llandovery offering more farming cattle, each have something to offer and suit...

    best option for finished cattle

Sell them through a store ring, 9/10 times they make fat price if not more especially if two men fall out over cattle! Going dead weight your given what one man wants to give

    best option for finished cattle

Sell live and thrive, if there good heifers that might make cows maybe put then through the ring......a farmer looking for billing heifers will give more than killing price of they suit

Judge the animal first before judging the papers, I'll always go around the pens first mark what I like in the book, go for a sit down and a coffee and look at the breeding after

Woodies and Clary be big names in the beltex world, freckelton a fairly big name sells a lot of tups, but always find his tups tend to be a bit on the small side for me

Biggest question is beef or dairy as both are clipped differently! Go with a open mind enjoy learn from mistakes and remember it's only one man's opinion
