They take along time to breakdown. Im surprised the clay ground next to me gets away with covering the footpath in clays every other Sunday but they have been doing it 25 years apparently
Do you shear all your hoggs as they come inside at this time of year? Im bellying a load of lambs after lunch that are going next week wish id just sheared them 4 weeks ago TBH
Alot of the dairy bred Angus heifers would be very fat at 250kgs dead. The beef bred or Holstein do get to the 400kgs much better.
i like Angus but I wont be buying anymore as calves as they don’t leave as much profit as the blues when selling as stores
You just need to cross them with a Holstein bull every third time.

If the calves are out of big framey holsteins you can get some size into them By 24m
Such a shame you can’t trace tag numbers. I bought a pen of Texal Mule ewe lambs a couple of years ago. Can’t remember anything about buying them other than they came out of Melton and cost £121 but Id love to know who i bought them off so as to know to buy them again
