New 4.2kw starter left mine on the button. The starter seemed lazy and more cranking then brings new battery down too. She now fires up immediately and no stress on battery. Should have done it years ago. Its hard to beat a good sharp crank starting any diesel engine.

There is no o ring inside it. Are you saying mine should have one where the inner pipe seats on the pump. The man I bought the pump off screwed the elbow out so I never seen it or if he lost it. Is it just an o oil ring.

How do I stop it leaking here at this elbow. The nut is sealing ok against the pump, it is leaking inside the nut. The inner elbow tightens up if I turn it slightly further but then doesn't line up with the pipe. When I line it up with pipe it then leaks. This is a new pump.

Mine is a series 2 and doesn't have a filter. I phoned the Ford garage who said their antifreeze was OK. He said throw a gallon of it in her and top the rest up with water. It didn't sound like he really cared. I asked about additive and he said no.

So do I buy any antifreeze, mix it 50/50 and hope for the best. I thought John deeres had the same problem and coolguard was the cure for it.

I dont understand what you mean. I looked up cavitation and it says cavitation is a form of corrosion.

Would coolguard for the john deere be the best option as most parts stores near me don't know what antifreeze or don't care.

As above to prevent corrosion on 10 series fords, does it require special coolant or antifreeze and at what strength. Should it be mixed with rain water rather than tap water.

Yes the banjo is on the heater plug or thermoplug or whatever its called.

Massey 35 4 cylinder and the banjo bolt on the heater plug keeps leaking. Changed copper washers and tried heating them to make them softer etc but can't get it to stop leaking. I've been looking online for the banjo bolt but I can't see it for sale anywhere or even get the part number for it...
