I've only ever seen one lever which is pto. Maybe you have a spec that has a 2 speed pto and it's for that. Definitely not a hydraulic lock

Tank emptied. Wheel off. 2 pipes. Sender plug. 2 straps. Must be one of the easiest do. Very light when empty

The cooler is for transmission oil not engine oil

What oil are you using?. Try something thicker.

It is only an oring in there but I guess the housings will be worn so even a new one might not seal. Yes the oil for the axle and drop box are shared. A common switch in its day. Motor factor may be able to help or your local massey dealer.

2.5 ramapril here for 6 weeks. Lowered pressure a bit but not enough, so upped to 5mg. GP happy with pressure now. Not noticed any symptoms that I didn't already have.

No sorry but it shouldn't be to difficult to see what gap you have and then get a thin shim washer machined to fit in the gap between the original washer and the front pivot housing.

Yes been there too. Who thought of that? Stepped bolts and sealed bearings where all other manufacturers just use rubber bushes.
