Anyone explain to me what the point of the multi-year deal is? (In a rising market at least), signing up for more than one year seems like a lose-lose, and now you only get £40/t if you commit to another year on top, whereas one-year growers get £40/t without any strings attached.

Thanks @ajd132. What's been the issue?

Wheat blends survey for article in CPM magazine

Hi everyone I'm writing a piece for CPM magazine next month looking at wheat blends and would really appreciate some help to understand if you're growing them, why, and what are the key factors you're looking for when you put together a blend. To help answer these and generally gain some more...

    Cabbage stem flea beetle survey

OK - we'll bear that in mind when analysing the results - effectively anything rated 0 or 1 is pretty unacceptable so in reality probably not to much of a problem in interpreting the results. Thanks for the feedback!

Hmmm...on the slider about a particular tactic success?

    Cabbage stem flea beetle survey

OK - thanks for the feedback. It doesn't come up when I click on it, but who knows with technology why things like that happen! I'll pass that onto the IT department and see if they have an explanation. Glad the direct link works in the meantime!

    Cabbage stem flea beetle survey

That's a bit weird D14. I'm 99.99% certain our site is neither dangerous nor will remove private information. At least they haven't told me it will anyway! Have you had that on any other pages on our website or just this one? You could try the survey direct link and see if that works...

    Cabbage stem flea beetle survey

Ha! Thanks both - I appreciate you taking the time to respond and post the constructive feedback. It's a good point - perhaps we could and should have asked about cropping intentions next year (although we might not have liked the answer I suspect! :(). Re pigeons and wet - also a good point...

    Cabbage stem flea beetle survey

Hi all I know oilseed rape is a bit of a dirty word at the moment, and cabbage stem flea beetle even more so, but we are doing a survey to see if we can get a good picture of what tactics are being used to "combat" CSFB during both establishment and for the larval stage, and to see just what...

    Cereals 2018...

Hi - sorry for a blatant hijack of a thread where the majority seem they aren't coming to Cereals this year, but for those that are I wanted to make a small plug for our new Speakers Corner. We've lined up four independent speakers to do short informal talks about four issues that a lot of...

    #Beet150

Thanks everyone for the interest in #Beet150. I'll try to answer the questions above, below! Ha! It is beginning to look like this year growing very high yields might be more challenging with the slow start. But whoever is signed up by the closing date and grows the largest yield in each...

Sprays And Their Cans 2016/17 Season

Hi Steevo Sorry for the slow reply - I don't appear to be getting notifications through so just happened to see this randomly today! Our new style packaging including foil-less cans is being phased in over time so you should see foil-less cans for both in the future. Hope that helps! Regards...

    Field record software

Hey everyone! Happy New Year - hope you all found some time to have a good break and some family time over Christmas. I always find these threads interesting as everyone has such different needs in recording software! Anyway, for those who do still like using pen & paper for recording...

    Atlantis now??

Yes, definitely the hardest to answer and there is quite a bit of judgement needed as there is no established temperature at which black-grass stops growing. In our experience though the kind of temperatures forecast over the next week (5-10C) will be more than adequate to keep black-grass...

    Atlantis now??

Ha! No, probably fortunately for my colleagues that's not one of my responsibilities! ;) You've got me! Yes, had 10 extremely enjoyable years writing for FW before moving to Bayer.
