They look like Ransomes discs which were always a bugger to set up and were very sensitive to changes in conditions. Well made but obviously more for an eye on the export market with their mainly bolted construction.

Depends how much straw or trash but the best leveling tool is a Dutch harrow. Much maligned by people who don't know how to use them but nothing better if set up properly.

D You can treat against bunt yourself with vinegar seed treatment. Sounds daft but it works and a hell of a lot cheaper and diy with an auger and knapsack.

Hi. Are the JD 750 discs hardened all the way through and what diameter are they usually when replaced? The reason I ask is my drill discs are unavailable so I need to find a disc about 17" which I can then modify either the disc or hub to fit? Tia
