    Best tyre levers?

We have a couple of the 39" melco levers. They are ok but I don't like the s shaped end on them. It tends to get trapped between tyre and rim too easily with no way to extract. I keep threatening to take the angle grinder to them to try and reprofile that end a bit. I ground of the little...

    Claas 355rc net roller

Try these guys https://www.bhleakerubber.co.uk/ The rubber roller on our deere baler was very wrinkly before we took it in for resurfacing plus all the cut marks from the stanly knife. It has come back looking like new.

    Resurfacing rubber rollers

Cheers guys. In the end we took it to BH Leake. It looks like they have done an excellent job :)

R2 doesn't appeal at all. Even Scott Mills R2 show is not a patch on his R1 show. I tend to just zone out when the dull songs come on anyway. I think the issue is they are trying to be PC & more diverse and include more music from their 1xtra station. The trouble is 80% of the music is awful and...

    Resurfacing rubber rollers

Hi guys. Has anybody sent a rubber roller off for reconditioning? I've removed the roller from our round baler since it's covered it cut marks from a stanley knife and net wraps round it every fifth bale or so since I knackered it. The cost of new is ridiculous so looking for a cheaper alternative

Oh the irony of moaning and whinging about farmers moaning and whinging. Having googled, apparently 63% of people polled want the licence fee scrapped with just 23% thinking it should stay, so it's not just farmers that belive this. I personally think the quality of their programmes is awful...

Yeah, I've been meaning to crop them off for a couple of years now. They can be a bit snaggy. We put a couple of foam packing noodles over the ends for laugh but they didn't survive long.

Some more from around the farm. Recently made a new calving aid handle, since I am too tight to buy a replacement. A gate latch mechanism to confuse all vets and AI techs And the mega axe, AKA the knot buster. Who needs pick axes these days anyway.

I love this thread. There are some great bodges, fixes and innovation here:) This is our dish washer. The handle snapped off not long after we got it. The bolts replace screws that ripped out of the flimsy plastic front piece. The latching mechanism inside has also been bodged after it broke...

Thingamajig which turns cordless tools into corded tools, would you buy it?

I think there would be a small market for them on older tools as back ups for when the batteries inevitably die on you. It would need to be lightweight, ideally with a decent length cable 10m or so to reduce the need for annoying extension leads and reasonably cheap. If it made the tool more...

    De horning paste

I think it needs an hour to work. We just take it off the following morning while feeding them milk. Ours are dairy calves. The paste works it's magic and has gone when the tape is removed. Some calves are born with big buds and need doing straight away and others can take 3 or 4 weeks before...

Is Variable Speed Milk Pump Worth it

We would just refit the old milk pump. A spare backup inverter wouln't cost too much have on standby to be fair

Is Variable Speed Milk Pump Worth it

10 units. I think our pump set up would be easier to work with direct line to as you get a more consistent flow of milk into the dairy and just set the speed as low as you can get away with

Is Variable Speed Milk Pump Worth it

Just 2. We have to be mindful letting the milk out of the parlour jars so the pump will cope on the slower settings. We have 2 recieveing jars and the probes are set right at the bottom to give more leeway. It would be much better with 3 probes or switches that adjust the pump to suit the level...
