I know somebody locally has GAINED land through SFI. Local arable farmer has put a block of land away from his main holding into herbal ley. And then letting grazing on it to a neighbouring tenant farmer(beef and sheep)
Been on liquid fert on grass for several years, no drop off on yields or any problems, but not much cost saving either. It’s more accurate and easier to apply and works faster after silage cuts in summer. But I am doing my own application and know exactly what’s been applied.
