Does the UK have apprenticeship schemes? They work very well here and I would rather find a youngster who is keen enough to learn to go to college than take on someone who thinks they know it all already.

I find a ploughed in crop of winter beans treated with kerb the best reset button. Or failing that we are fortunate that we have the option of sunflowers or maize, autumn plough and a sprayed off cover crop before the grass sets seed is often as clean as you can get.
