Hi folks
No experience of heavy plant but I've been asked by a guy on the island to help him with an issue on his dumper. Everything works on it but when he turns the ignition key off the engine doesn't stop, unless he gives the dash several heavy thumps and that doesn't always work!!....
Can...
We have a small (domestic) solar array on our roof.
I need to change the company I get FITs from (soon before I have a stroke or something with the high blood pressure).
We set up with SSE about 8 years ago. They moved us recently to OVO. We had no choice in the matter - all the SSE accounts...
Hi I got the rebuilt hydraulic pump and lift cover installed, started the tractor after installing a 3500 psi pressure gauge on a port on the diverter valve. Initially the pressure rose to 3200 psi but fell back to a constant 2100 to 2200 psi on maximum pressure....is this normal for a 165 mk 2...
Right, thanks....I've been looking on the net and the original MK2 pump relief valve is commonly replaced with an on pump relief which I've bought. What's involved in blanking off the original relief as it says on Agrilines za website that the response control is rendered disabled when this is...
Thanks for your help so far with the hydraulic system on my Massey 165 MK2...
The response control lever and it's actuator arm is missing on my 165 and the valve has been cable tied in place. I noticed it had popped up and rotated 45 degrees so it was being held open on the shoulder of the...
I wasn't aware there was one, in fact pretty sure there isn't one on my 72 165 standard not multipower. The pump has a gauze and mesh filter on its side that's all.
Link arms got sorted MFAndy , two of the stubs shifted the other two had to have holes blown through with a propane oxygen torch to get them to shift. The two pins bolts and lock nuts were £184!!!!
Thanks all, I've got a new pump being ordered, it's made in Turkey with a years warranty. There's a bit of info admittedly multi power so not my standard 165 but helpful none the less, along with your link Agrimax...cheers Hubert
Thanks a lot, that's very helpful... It's not a multi power and I have a mobile engine hoist to lift the top plate . That's tomorrow's job ....
There's aftermarket pumps for as low as £225 plus vat , not sure if they would be ok, any opinions?
Pardon my ignorance, how does one fit a pressure tester. I've tried both with the spool valve and the quadrant, neither does lift well. Is it easy to replace the pressure relief valve?
Thanks 👍
Yes the oil is clean and up to max level, it just doesn't seem to have enough pressure to lift even the mower blades assembly into the upright position. It lifts it part way and then stops, seems to be struggling then
I've just gone to lift my mower to cut sileage and it's got half the lifting power from as before, it won't lift the mower into its up right position.
How big a job in time is it to fit a new pump into the gearbox, I don't want to give up on getting the sileage done. They're not cheap I've got a...
