I think we need to see a bit of evidence of things changing, a lot of farmers wishing things would change isn't going to make it change.
It's a favourite line of the NFU that change is in the pipeline, but it seems a very long pipe!
I'm not knocking all the work you have put into this, just...
I've put some faster FM quick release couplers on, fitted straight on after taking the leak off pipes etc off. Seem great easy to use and no leaks and breakaway safety. £55 each. Tried the QTP ones and they lasted a year but leaked.
I spoke to a few or our representatives at the NFU before cancelling, and they claim they have had a few "victory's" in dumbing down some of the new standards for November, but the structure is wrong. We need competition in the assurance scheme. An alternative scheme that can be accepted by AIC...
Is there any more information on this? It's what we must do, the AIC upping our standards whilst holding down the price by allowing their members to use imports is clearly wrong. The NFU are clearly not prepared to confront the issue, so I have cancelled and will contribute.
We need a feed mill to buy non red tractor, the big corporates are not going to change, it's not to their advantage. What about member owned mills such as mole valley farmers? Surely they would be more likely to break from AIC rules.
