I get the point, and I agree however if you have cheap energy as they have in North Africa then you don't need to. I did see somewhere that Yara and other European producers received some support but might be wrong. As long as the government keep paying me I don't mind
Don’t think cf have produced any co2 for over a year now, it’s a by product of Ammonia production and due to our uk energy policy that ammonia is cheaper to import than make
Interesting take on things, without the government support just like I have received for 20+years now there would have ben no Co2 so no Nitrogen other than imported, or but I forgot most of those plants shut down as well
This is a simple one, No P needed for many year. Grazing just needs N+S, silage even with 2000gals slurry I would want to put on some K with NS. 2000gals/acre will give you about 10 units P & 40 K. 10t/acre silage will remove about 40P 180K
No N leaches in the growing season, that only happens when the drains are running and crop is not actively growing so if applied too early in spring or too much for the crop to use then surplus leaches autumn/winter. It’s the same for AN or Urea
