If McDonalds ever went 100% Plant based what would the impact on the beef trade be ??

The reassuring thing is that this came through a humorous feed called "Angry people in local newspapers" and the overwhelming majority of comments were pro-meat and pro farming, and these are just from ordinary non-farming folks .

I didn't know what to do as the haggis I bought said it "feeds 10" and as I walked across the car park fondling it, people were looking at me like I was some sort of prevert , but I figured it was better than having them think I was a vegan

Today I was given the task of acquiring a haggis in Ringwood in remembrance of Mrs Fred's Scottish ancestry. Lidls appeared to have had regular haggi (haggises?) but had sold out so I ventured into Waitrose and they had a big heap of "vegan haggi" of various sizes with reduced stickers, but only...

    allis chalmer b

We have a 1943 B which has much wider back tyres than normal and mudguard extensions. I think they were originally imported through Southampton as AC had an assembly plant at Totton- I was reading an article on local Spitfire production during the early war years and Allis Totton were mentioned...

Is anyone still buying side by side 12 bores ?

Not a big game hunter here, but presumably the same cartridge issues will apply to my little old pre war .410 that I use for rats and on walkabouts down the hedges?

Series 2 Landies were good as you had the bench seat and if you put it in 2nd, you wouldn't roll off into the footwell.

I had a Viva GT at college and I used to think I was one of the Dukes of Hazzard with that big wide bonnet (with lots of empty space underneath it) I saw one parked in Lidls a while ago and went to look at it, but was amazed at how small it was.. The fact that we can't fit our modest Skodas into...

I have heard it cited as one of the reasons for the declining salmon population on our river here, the Hampshire Avon. There are an awful lot of houses been built upstream, especially MOD housing for younger families and starter homes, which I would guess would be releasing more of the hormones.

My new age Steiner friends on my milk round were warning decades ago that hormones getting into the water supply from contraceptive pills would render us all infertile. I think they were probably right

This sort of thing never did me no (lasting) harm, apart from being beaten up by my sister when I called them a bunch of jessies.

Best off road goat we had was a Renault 4 van with the opening rear lid. It would run rings round the s3 LR we had at the time and you could scamper down from wherever the 6700 had broken down, onto the road and drive to the dealers in comfort and warmth. :)
