I'd like to see you spread at 100kg/ha! Let's not waste people's time on impossible scenarios.

    New John Deere 6120m v 6430

That's a good idea. We have a small 525 60 around the yard, it's a joy, and a 130r as a second tractor and loader for out field. You could probably buy a new one and keep your tractor for the same money. Got to be looking at over £50k.

Good post. I want to include SOM in the soil tests I do but it is more pricey, that's the problem. I think it's more than the £8.50 that's been mentioned on here.

Chopping straw qualifies as om. Establish Green cover required only on 20% of total area in the sfi, the rest can be in winter cereals

New Farming Investment Fund launched today

Depends if you applied for a grant on your first spade (or was it a shovel) in which case the only option is to get a grant on the ladder.

Looks like only the 2 of us here!😂 Seems completely mad that there's nothing for it yet. Although why would there be? Mines been doing its own thing for 18 years already.

    New toy day

I would of waited until 1st September in any case. The colour almost matches the sheds!

A lot more stewardship agreements in the last year or 2, mine included. It does seem logical that there isn't enough of the 2.3B budget left for sfi whilst paying 95% of bps this year and 75% next? Perhaps by 2025 we will see £100/acre for more ambition as its called?

Sounds like the higher payments for more ambition will come as BPS declines further........
