    Flockwatch App

I've found the guys at flockwatch/herdwatch very helpful and seem like they can't do enough to help I had a few teething issues when I first started using it but was all sorted quick. I get a message through the app every couple of weeks to make sure Im getting on ok with it and don't have any...

    Terriers

Used to be big into terriers had 14 at one point they where mainly border X Lakeland types. Excellent working dogs and they would have put several hundred foxes to bed and uncountable numbers of rats. Working dog job is fudged in Scotland now so I only keep 4 terriers now for my lads to do a bit...

I wouldn't want to tow that weight to far mine drags on the ground at the back with 5 ewes in the trailer. That's the only thing with them they are alot lower that most other bikes

    Smock Top

That fine for a shower of rain and slight breeze but if your out in torrential rain for hours on end that Screwfix or flexothane stuff isn't up to the job what's the point in being cold and wet and uncomfortable for the sake of a couple of hindered quid on decent jacket and trousers that you can...

    Flockwatch App

I'm using flockwatch this year fantastic so far linking ewes to lambs is simple as is recording a medicine treatment and adoptions I really like it after years of using pen and paper Transfering over to excel.

TexX ewes - which Tup to use?

Don't worry too much I look like the right pic most of the year. I'm like a homeless billy gibbons by the end of lambing🤣

    Slow lambing

One of my mates lambs 3500ish ewes inside in a 21 day lambing. Has 4 staff in the shed at all times but recons he is better of than when they used to lamb for 6 weeks as he would still need the folk there. Blows my mind tbh I would hate to lamb that amount inside.

    Shearing Stand

You will probably need a worm drive but they are very simple to swap if you buy a worm drive spindle for your handpiece. All you need is your shearing screwdriver or cogkey and a pair of molegrips.

    Shearing Stand

Bring your own kit mean worm drive handpiece and cutters and combs. In the long run if your planning to shear alot of sheep solid drive is the way to go it's alot easier on the body than a Flexi and keeps you in position.

    Dog food

Used too but the knackers charges the same for taking away waste as it costs for a bag of dog food so false economy and extra time. But a good chunk of mutton with fat bone and all does do them good occasionally.
