I will make the point that if you aren’t paying your staff for breaks, don’t expect them to react positively if you try to “talk shop” to them on their time. Been there, had the disagreement.
If you’re not going on the road a cheap old unit is the safe answer. Can always swap onto a dolly for haulage.
Most impressive dolly I’ve seen, out in Norfolk a few years ago loading parsnips. Driven with diff locks all round, and I am sure it had a tipper pipe as well, but not connected here...
Ringing ahead and asking if there's anything I need to know about getting to their place might irritate but I would much rather that than the alternative. I do low loaders as well and the classic line is 'we get lorries in here all the time', been on a few adventures following that gem.
Not sure which that one is, if it is the concrete monolith by the grain dock that you can see from miles away, yes, had a nasty dust explosion in a silo a year or two back and lots of new storage and handling going in.
Almost 100 percent grain, plenty seem to do well on aggregate but the stone I get offered is always a pain in the arris, and by the time you've washed out and calmed down from being spoken to like a c--- it's barely worth the effort for the paltry rate. I don't mind the grain at all really and...
