Thanks for that.......what sort of machine do you run Speedstar? If the new Kemper does a good clean job then it would be preferable because here's no messing with taking headers on and off and you would be cutting 7.5m or 9m instead of just over 6m with a wholecrop header.
I think I'll go for one of those and update my existing Orbis......I've got a surplus combine for 2016 so they can have that as a swap.

Pretty much.....a mower bed with an auger behind it....I have been looking at wholecrop headers like the Dominoni from Italy...they tend to have augers with a big diameter which gives a better flow and less blockages....I've been told the new Claas wholecrop header has a bigger diameter...
That's good to know.....will it handle a tall,thick crop of Rye? only a competitor of mine with a Krone forager and Krone wholecrop header came unstuck with a particularly thick and tall crop which he ended up mowing and baling!!
