Mf 3070 jumping out of gear

We bought a 3075 from a reputable MF dealer. Started jumping out of gear from the minute we got it. MF dealer stood by it and when I went into the shop they had to replace the whole gearbox casing as a bearing had got loose in the casing. The repair cost more than than we had payed for the...

    Loaded up and trucking!!

Driver said he had to go on to another auction and pick something else up. He was wide too, as the spreader wheels sat 9 inches over the sides of his lorry. Then to cap it all, the Holyhead ferries were all cancelled due to high winds, so his boss wanted him to drive all the way up to Stranraer...

    Loaded up and trucking!!

They rolled into our yard with this on. All he wanted was the electric mixer.I think that is a divisible load.He said he had come Ireland with 4 20 tonne concrete sections for walls for a Lidl store in Norwich. Another divisible load.

    Farming Girls

Nothing wrong with that. I had a girl driving my combine. She is now my daughter in law and has given me a grandson.

    Today at work

I don't get it. Definitely my drill, but why can't you run the fan straight off the tractor hydraulics. Went on four different tractors here with no bother. Anyway, good luck with it. It was my favourite bit of kit, and my favourite job.

    old sale catalogue

Trawling through some of my fathers paper work and came across the auction catalogue for my grandfathers farm in Devon before he moved to Suffolk. Anyone know the farm, or even the purchasers names penciled in.

You have got me there, but there was some lubrication but I can't remember putting any special grease in, just a dollop of ordinary grease!

    Kuhn Aero clutches

Yes, there is a spring in them that grips onto a shaft. That shaft gets worn, so the spring will no longer grip. Have stripped them down, build up shaft with welder, and turn down to correct size, and away you go again. Can't remember how they come apart as it was a few years ago, but I don't...

    End of an era

Thank you. I have two grandchildren born in the last 10 weeks. I have a daughter-in-law with a new horse yard with 16 horses in already. She has a list of jobs as long as your arm. So I am not looking for a job. The shoot on the farm will continue, and they shoot 4 times a week, and I like...

Why do you think I decided to retire!! I could see the writing on the wall. I could see it all being frittered away, and I did not want to end up pushing a wheelbarrow round the bosses garden.
