Having a look around today, and our average yield will be our worst ever I believe. The good news is that I have a job to find blackgrass which after last year's mess id a relief. Best looking wheats are 3rd wheat on lighter ground following the plough, so not much hope there.

An Italian I know has family in the Po valley in northern Italy. Nothing was sown last autumn as too wet. In southern Italy there are drought restrictions already. Just been to Sicily and wheat coming out on ear. 12 inches high, and probably 1 t/ha.
