Managing Flat 8's as efficiently as possible

I made a Flat 16. 200 bales an hour from picking up in field to stacked in shed. 6 high on trailer, no ropes .. there is quite a bit of skill involved.

    Amazone packer roller

We have worn a rubber wedge ring roller out and expensive to replace. Never come near to wearing a packer out, still look like it’s only done a couple of seasons. If you are running a drill behind the rubber wedge roller consolidates it to much and the disc cant penetrate.

    N min tests??

We have had these done in the past but have never had the balls to follow them 100%. Sometimes they say to reduce fert by 50%(100kg/ha total) usually where FYM has been applied. With the Fert price where it is I’m wondering if I should pay more attention to them. Does anyone else follow their...

Drilling and not putting in tramlines but adding autosteer to the sprayer?

Most drill for the last 10 years or so return the seed to tank, or reduce the seed rate automatically when tramlining.

    Retrofitting Autosteer.

Higher speed will also make the problem worse. You won’t have noticed it on the big A as the tyres were so wide they would have spanned any troughs or cultivation lines.

AIC directors profit from compulsory Red Tractor

AIC force mills to only accept Red tractor assured wheat. Non assured is sold at a discounted price. Where does non assured end up, on the same heap magically assured. if red tractor was optional for the farmer then all the merchants would need to pay a premium to farmers to encourage them to...

AIC directors profit from compulsory Red Tractor

This bit of homework was done by a fellow forum member, well done that man. wasn't sure if anyone had done any digging into the ownership and stakeholders of the AIC, so I had a little look on companies house and I'm pretty horrified by what I found. AIC is similar to RT in that it is a Ltd...

£600 cash back on new tyres??

The tyres are usually towards the expensive side to start with. It’s aimed at large farms or companies The person buying/choosing the tyres is not the person paying the bill( farm manager). Farm pays for tyres and manager get a gift card with £600 pounds on it. 😉😉🤫Or am I been a bit unfair
