Quite by chance, found myself (and my Ranger) in the same field as equivalent Amarok a week or so back.
Both v6 diesels, both reliable and no problems (touch wood!). Looking at them together, I actually prefer my 15k ranger - at rear.
Crikey - as a 50 year old male rural professional, (relatively) trim, bald without a tattoo; I feel somewhat fraudulent driving my diesel v6 wild track; especially as I too do not tow for work, (although it pulls a horse-trailer on weekends).
I run it through my business as tax regulations make...
Tubs came from Go Outdoors and clearance is spot-on if you have the power roll top. The two little ones are perfect size to store the removable tow-hitch… a big oversight on Ford’s part as nowhere to stow it otherwise, apart from rattling around in the tub.
done similar and gone a step further…. It might look pretty crude but at £35 all-in it’s a damned sight cheaper (and more versatile) than Ford’s £500 ’cargo management system’!

Note that this conversation was held around 2.5 years ago when the majority of passenger flights had been scrapped due to...
Had my V6 3 weeks and 1200 miles now. So far - so bl**dy good. Cracking engine, surprisingly good ride, tech is user-friendly and great interior. Did first long run yesterday with 350 mile round trip - averaged 30mpg.
Hearing on the grapevine that many, many spud and carrot reducers cutting back on area - by a pretty big %age many of them.
(how many will make a ‘last minute‘ decision to increase acreage to capitalise on what should / could be a high price year? 😉Hopefully not enough to tip the balance the...
