You're forgetting about the 4-10 years it takes to get fully qualified AND experienced... 2 year old transit fully kitted out with tools and boiler spares is about £30K plus the racking + sign writing.

Maybe not double the mass, but almost double the power and double the efficiency and with increased comfort and increased safety certainly.

As a pedestrian I'd rather be hit by a 2014 Fiesta than a Mk1 Fiesta.
