    Parts mark Up?

I was prepared to pay a bit more for the part, but I don;t like being ripped off. AND they didn't even have the part.

    Parts mark Up?

Can firms justify the price they charge for spares? I needed an ABS sensor, and did a check online, but as it was an emergency I thought I'd buy it from the main agent accepting it might be twice the price. Well, how wrong can one be. Online price was £20 including VAT, but it was a good job I...

    Pot Holes, Tyres & Pressures?

3 bar is on the door for trailer work with 2.3 for other driving. With the low profiles on there was no flex in the walls, whereas the deeper walls give more when you hit a hole, so will try a bit lower pressure. just wondering about wear. Normally do a lot of trailer work, this is just for a...

    Recycled Brown Bin Compost.

Would the composting process not kill any seeds in the finished product?

    Recycled Brown Bin Compost.

We're on the shores of Strangeford Lough, and when I was at school dad used to cart seaweed into the shore fields and spread it with the rota spreader. It was great for the ground and a good fertiliser, but now, even if we were allowed to cart it off the shore, there is so much plastic in it...

    Recycled Brown Bin Compost.

I know that there is very little nutrient value in the compost, but it would add Organic matter, and therefore be beneficial to the soil.

    Recycled Brown Bin Compost.

Anyone using this compost on grassland ? I make haylage every year and have no livestock, I'm very reluctant to import Slurry or Dung as in the past I've found that it's a great way to import weeds /docks etc. It seems that at times this compost can be obtained FOC, so just thinking it might be...

    Pot Holes, Tyres & Pressures?

Like a lot of places the roads around here are atrocious, can't go anywhere in a straight line avoiding the holes. My Shogun was on low profile tyres, which made it very solid on bumps. So I got the chance of a set of deeper tyres and rims which have greatly improved the ride. Current pressure...

    OPICO Grass harrow ?

Just bought a 5 mtr. harrow but the instructions on the accumulator for the ram have been rubbed off. It says a maximum of 8 to10 bar, but is this with the ram closed or down? Any help appreciated.

    JF Combine Harvester

I worked with a trail Dania for years, and it was a great wee combine, although a bit slow ,with only a 6ft. cut. If they had made one with an 8 ft. cut it would have been hard to beat. As said before start in the first tram line and cut round the field into the middle, then cut the outside and...

    Track pot hole repair machine

This is my home made grader, all made from H irons, semi-mounted with hydraulic rear axle. Works well, and has done for quite a few years now. Should add to use 20 mm.stone on the surface, and remember a stitch in time saves nine.
