Another thought I had about the push out hitch not working apart from it might be rusted up. Does anyone know if the spool valves have a shut of valve attached to them. Sure I’ve not noticed when behind the tractor but I’ve looked at the workshop manual and the spoils show a small T handle on...
Just an update on this if anyone else is having a similar issue. The problem was fixed by adjusting the cable and lock nut underneath the cab where the PTO selector goes through the cab.
Thanks for the help
This is a random one.
The previous owners of our land used to keep horses.
Instead of having the muck removed they decided to pile it up amongst the trees down one side.
I’ve been looking to get this out for some time but a lot of the farmers are reluctant to take it away.
Not sure if this is...
The only thing that makes me think the clutch is that it grinds when you put it in to 1000 PTO
it doesn’t grind at all for 540 so more then likely it might be the cable. Or the gear has lost all its teeth somewhere
I’ll be checking this next time I’m out. The other thing i was thinking was the clutch plate stuck. Although it make no noise at all in 540 ( possibly because it’s not moving to select) . The grinding and crunching to move to 1000 sounds like the clutch isn’t releasing
Anyone have any experience with the PTO on a Claas Axos.
If I put the PTO in to 540 it slots in with out any grinding or crunching at all. Then move the other PTO lever to release the clutch and nothing happens.
Do the same thing in 1000 grinds to go in to 1000 but the release the clutch and...
I’m finally looking at getting some attachments for the front loader of the wee Claas. After finding out the loader is a MX loader not a Quickie loader that it’s badged up to be I’m finding it difficult to get an answer on what type of headstock this is.
i believe it to be a Euro headstock but...
Depending which trailer it is. The centre hub nut has to be removed to get the drum off. Release the adjuster on the back some are 19mm some 17mm. Depending how tight they are on a few wee skites with the hammer should help. If I can remember right that hub nut is done up to 350nm. And the nut...
Quick update on the push out hitch. I’ve taken a look today. It doesn’t move when the spool is activated but it does seam to have hydraulics at the back. So I believe it is a push out hitch but it’s either rusted up or the ram is knackered. It’s hard to tell but it looks like there is two pieces...
