For the last 8(?) years we have vaccinated ewes pre lambing with Bravoxin on the basis that we don't lose anything to Pasteurella until the autumn. The lambs then get Heptovac as youngsters ... seems to cover everything here but different areas might have different risks
I'm not sure that's the whole story
I think that the Prattley patent ran out, terms as a distributor couldn't be renegotiated etc
Certainly when I approached Prattley to have an in line weigh system 15 years ago they said they would not adapt.( So I went with Scotpen who would adapt & gave great...
You're right, for decades sheep farmers around the globe (with the exception of organic farmers ?) have ignored growing anthelmintic resistance
We just have to find ways of living with it ---including;
Mixed grazing
Clean grazing/fitting into arable rotations
Improved genetics
Some have done /are doing the work in NZ---when you have triple anthelmintic resistance you have to look for other solutions ---i've been collecting individual FEC for decades now & we are reaping the benefits
The great thing about genetics is that they are permanent and cumulative , unlike...

I'm pretty sure the PAC chambers will be on display at the NSA Sheep Event if anyone wants to find out more...
All the commercial breeders I've spoken to that have used them(NZ & Aus) have very little good to say about them
I'm disappointed by the lack of any comparative trials...the USB was eating quality but there is never any comparative data offered
Good marketeers though
@NZDan has 1st hand experience
I think most farmers grow a poor quality wool, pay someone to harvest it & then throw it in a sack ...then whinge that they get underpaid?
Inc vat? Don't know?
So 800 fleeces at £33=£26,400 which is worth the marketing i would think
It was a really interesting day and it would benefit any woolly sheep farmer to take a look at what these guys do
The stand out lesson i think was that UK farmers don't value their wool, they need to
Learn to value and...
