We run an easy calving BB bull (Springbank Blackstar Son) with our bb x fresian cows and never have a problem calving.
Just bought another 10 as replacement heifers this year.
Embryo from an adajio heifer
And out of either Ballygrange Alex/ tamhorn sumo
I’m presuming Alex going by the colouring but with blues you never can tell
We buy a lot of Hol x and Fr x, some continentals too
Its quite strong feed, the bred and spuds are great for getting a layer of fat on the milk x bullocks, they need the acid/rumen buffer along with the straw to keep the feet and stomach right
you'd get slightly over 2kg with the continentals...
We buy in stores around 450kgs drench then straight on to fattening/finishing ration, takes 2 weeks to get them on to the full ration mind
12kg spuds
10kg silage
3kg barley
3kg bread
2kg straw
100grams urea
minerals
acidbuff
