bit of fencing today. Found the sheep wire in a shed during a clear out in spring.Dad reckoned it was at least 25yrs old. Snippers couldn’t cut it, yet go through new wire no problem. He talks the odd bit of sense, stuff isnt made like it used to be.
Anyone tried peat bedding? We are using a local supplier for a sawdust/lime mix but it’s got very coarse and starting to see abrasions. Cell count usually pretty good though so scared to change too much.
Had a great days weather here made massive difference. Contractor did a good job tbf didn’t go near any dodgy bits with harvester and just baled them that was the worst patch, got away with the rest pretty well
see he has rowed the wetter fields up today
rest not too bad.
so is it better to put the wetter silage in first or last? I thought wetter last but contractor thinks it will spoil nicer stuff
Yea sicken you. Weather forecast a joke. Looked ok this morning too. 2 fields a mess which wish didn’t go near
but stuff it!!! only putting my head away looking at it. Weans birthday today, away down the country with work tomorrow, effluent tank empty, forget all about it.
