Thanks everyone, I seemed to be going round in circles. I actually spoke to Perkins who referred my to a reseller, even they couldn't confirm what they are. Most logical answer seems to be that they're 0.5mm/20 thou undersized.
Cylinder head is finally off and the verdict is in. Looks like numbers 2 and 3 have some serious bore scoring. I'm assuming that when it froze and split the block it also caused the liner to become misshaped. Next week I'll try and get the liners our and see if the block is worth saving...

I'm the proud owner of the slightly troublesome MF35. Started to take the head off it tonight to see how bad the damage is, needless to say the head is stuck solid so I've left it soaking with some penetrating oil in the stud holes. If I can't get away...
