We changed the pump which was a simple job and we did a full service changing all the diesel and oil filters. It is now running better than it ever did. Idling perfectly.
Found this old post and our 3-year old UTV is requesting an MOT before taxing it.
Just wanted to clarify that I just need to take a V112 form to the Post Office with the UTV being put under category ‘F’ ?
‘Vehicle used only to pass from land occupied by the person keeping the vehicle to other...
Worst thing we done was put red diesel in our heaters. They all ended up going away to be fixed. Repair man told us to stay the hell away from red diesel. Kero is for heating, it’s cheaper and cleaner and that’s all we use now in our heaters and hot power washers and no problems.
The calves on my machine feeding up to 12ltrs a day are on a whey milk costing me £40 per 20kg bag. Used to use a more expensive milk two years ago and no difference to justify price.

Who do you buy of that replaces them cause the dealers near me won’t replace them? They all stopped selling them in fact cause of the number of farmers constantly returning them in a few weeks.
Noramax are utter rubbish. Only last 4-5 weeks. Waste of money. Le Chemaeu Ceres are the only welly that lasts for at least 10 months and longer but bloody hell they are a cold welly like I found again this morning. Going to have to go back to the Muckboots for the winter and get a snow welly...
The pipe comes off on us regularly and then the fan blows the diesel all over the engine which is one of the reasons we are going to hot wash it all down first.
JCB mechanic was at a local contractor so I drove it down to him. He told me to replace the lift pump so I got the part he showed me. Our JCB is a bog standard one, not an Agri/Super etc if that makes a difference.
I sourced our problem but haven’t had the time yet to fix it but it’s the lift pump. We have a new one here which cost peanuts. The diaphragm inside the pump has worn I was told. We are going to take the whole bonnet and unit off so we can hot wash the whole engine down before changing the pump...
