Landy Pressurewashers Drain Jetter

We've got an older one we bought second hand. The pressure washer is great. Very powerful and blasts the muck of quickly. The drain jetter is a bit slow and only 30m on ours but I think that's down to the nozzle on it but 10 times better than rods. Filling up a separate tub with water and sucking it out is a real pain and very limiting. I'm currently in the process of fitting the pump and reels to our old knackered sprayer which should make it much handier to use. Overall a good machine but wouldn't like to pay new price for one when second hand ones are so cheap.

Mines on the drawbar of an old 1200 gallon tanker (y)you can get through a fair volume of water when jetting.

Mine really needs a speed increasing gearbox as you have to rev it a fair bit to get the full 3000psi when jetting, even in 1000sp pto.

I once tried a different type of Jetter nozzle and it was useless, you need a nozzle to match the machine.

Anyone running one of these

http://www.landypressurewashers.com/pto-machines/drain-jetter-version/

or recommend anything similar.

We've got a few drains needing done an I wondered if this would do a reasonable job. I would also like the powerwasher for washing cattle sheds.

Thanks
we got the twin reel washer&jetter its very good washer blows you back just on tick-over, got the 100m jetter hose wich is about long enough for most drains, got sick of separate water tank so mount a ibc on front links to be self contained, also bought their sludge pump attatchment for it and works very well as you can suck hole dry as you go,would recommend it to anyone ,and landy are very helpful, good for washing machinery sheds ect if you haven't water or electric handy.

@Monty where did you get your second hand one from.

Ebay for £400. We had another one before that with a single reel, roughly the same price but some one nicked it(n). If you have a bit of patience and keep an eye out you can pick them up from farm sales or ebay relatively cheaply. I saw another very tidy looking one on ebay a while ago the same as ours only with a damaged pump. I think it made around £250-£300

Will keep an eye out. Just think ebay is a bit of a punt. We have to rely on getting stuff delivered to up here so don't get the chance to go and view to see if genuine.

£400 isn't cheap if its fecked or is a new pump not that much?

Got 1 with the 100m hose, fitted it to an old trailer chassis with an old 2000L tank, gonna put a different axle in with some wider tyres when I get a chance

Got the spiral jet on the pressure washer lance, great at shifting muck off the walls when washing out cattle shed but a little noisy

Ours were both working perfectly when we got them. No Idea how much a new pump is. There's not much to them really. I thought ours was knackered because it wouldn't prime but there must have been a split in the suction pipe or something

As I say we couldn't justify a new one. If you're on a tight budget you could make your own. I think the main costs will be in the reel(s), pipe and tank rather than the pump but horses for courses really.

We did similar to you but about 4000 litres tank works really well, hard work though hanging onto that hose

I got one in the winter and mounted it on an old bowser in a wet afternoon, it's paid for itself already. The bowser isn't really big enough, but by the time it's empty you're ready for a brew anyway. It gets hard work once you are over 50 metres if the drain is anything like blocked, but haven't tried it in plastic yet, just clay tiles. Didn't get the gear box on it , because we don't do much and it was £400 extra, so the pto needs 1000rpm to get the pressure up

I have the one shown by the OP. Landy delivered it themselves and showed us all it was capable of. If you get one of these then, as somebody else suggested, get the simple attachment for sucking out a hole.

Bringing this thread back to life, with the awful weather of late drains are taking a hammering and more and more wet spots appearing, everyone still happy with there landy PTO drain jetters? Think they are about £1400 new and not knowing anyone with one to hire or anything was wondering if they are worth it.

I'd vote for the Landy drain jetter too. I have plans to mount the tank on an old trailer chassis but not got there yet, carry it around on the loader just now. I have the sludge pump attachment as well, shifts about 300 litres a minute I think from memory. I have 100m of drain jet hose on the real and 50m of press washer hose. I didn't go for the gearbox, just let the tractor Rev in the 1000rpm box. If I don't pick up a 2nd hand gearbox somewhere might go back and buy the Landy one to retrofit.

I have a single reel washer jetter never used it for washing yet just for jetting. Think it’s a great tool easier than draining rods and makes a better job maybe not as good as the bigger fancier ones but good enough. Only annoying thing is we have to use it on one of the bigger tractors with 1000 speed when a small tractor is more than ample, thought the gear box for running it at 540 was a bit expensive
