I think there was an intrac about Dumfries area a few years ago. A guy Raymond Copland had it for a while. It may have gone too Ireland. Remember it in an article in Classic Tractor a few years ago.

Really liking the Intrac posting and looking forward to the progress of your restoration I also looked at the Intrac you bought as a parts tractor from norfolk then went to the local DF dealer to which the parts are on the system in Germany with prices to but sadly no parts were available but was told that someone had bought them what was left over after production. The Intrac that the welsh dealer D G Thomas had is now being used at a trials seed company in Dorset. The brief history of the 6.00 series intrac which there were 6.05, 6.30, 6.30 turbo which mine is above part restored with 3500 hrs on the clock and the 150hp 6.60 the first production started in 1988 in Deutz Fahr livery as above but with low production numbers to which only 168 as I have been told made over the whole 6.00 series range with the final ones being made in October 1990. The lighter green or MB Trac green paint tractors came about with the new Trac Technic company joint between MB Trac and Deutz Fahr. DF by now had lost interest in the Intrac tractors but still made the tractors although now rebadged Deutz not DF with the Intrac decals on the cab sides in the MB Trac style also later tractors were road reg in the uk as Mercedes. As far as I know there is only 5 of 6 left in the UK but would love to know more as I have always had a soft spot for these tractors which were a head of there time but sadly never caught on as they were £10k more than a standard tractor at the time and possibly the main reason it didn't look like a traditional tractor.
Keep up the good work and would love to see it when done!

You luck guys, I first saw them at the Mercedes factory as Trac Technik was a join venture between MB and Deutz. I thought is would be a great trailer puller and top work machine. I then didn't see any until I caught a glimpse of the one near Dumfries. It was a tractor which I think was before its time and if it was reborn with 50K and cvt gear box it might taken off this time.

We farm just up the road from the old watveare import base in westbury, we had several deutz tractors including a 72 hp intrac which we used with a 7 ft front and 6ft rear mowers, was great for output but a bugger when hay making as the dust would block the engine fins, also the buckrake went on the front, saved lots of neck ache, not sure why they never took off more, especially the bigger ones as 72 hp wasnt big enough even back then really

I think that you need to put @SJBall in your post to wake him up.

That did it haha. We do have some updates! It's all mechanically working now and we've been testing it on some light grasswork over the last year.
It can be seen in action here with more videos on the channel:

We've got a few hydraulic bits to get finished up with then the stickers all need sorting out, they're a bit interesting as none of them appear to be available new any more!
We have had a magazine or two interested in running articles so will likely run with them first before doing a more detailed write up here as there's no limit to wording or photos (of which there are many).
