The solicitor acting for the buyer of my late fathers house is making a big deal of getting a "Consent to Discharge" from the Enviroment Agency . I have looked on the Environment Agency website and others and I am rather confused, as to whether or not we really need the "consent to discharge" as the total cu mtrs of sewage going in to the septic tank is only 0.9 cu mtrs per day using Environment Agency Calculator.
Have any of you come up against the above issue when selling a house. Any input would be appreciated.
