Bit of flat tin bent at 90' on the outside, drill and rivet to keep together. You could experiment with how you cut the pipe to help the joint. To cut down on materials you could even cut half the pipe lengthways 35mm from the ends and lap joint them with a bolt.

Brush handle and a wood screw to hold the two bits together, push the pipe over?
Trees over here grow round, so you might get a few natives saplings a tight fit for the 32mm pipe, in the hedge.
No shop required ............

If yer not fussed about kinking the pipe, bend it and kink it, drill through the pipe 3 inches out from the kink on both sides, thread through some string and pull tight to keep at right angles. No expense! (y)

something that will cost 55 ish quid brand new
but i can make for approx 20 quid less my labour (which lets face it isnt worth tuppence by previous efforts)
and i need at least a dozen of them
 
MK 3 weight box this is half of it and front linkage mounted will have cat two hooks and top link to pick up front press and weight block or 3 m pigtail when it's finished
