Then a horse girl (Mrs Fred, obviously ) rides past and you wobble down to 2ft.And in a thick overhanging crop, you can't see bugger all......so down to 3 foot, to be sure.....

They don't make Haybobs there, any more. They are made by Mesko-Rol in Poland - red and green for Mesko-Rol, orange for Kuhn and red for Fleming and Zagroda (the ones I supply). The PZ Factory, home of the original and best mower of it's type is now owned and run by Kuhn.
They still produce the Mower's and Haybobs there, to broadly the same spec as the originals.
If you want a 5ft 6ins Mower made to the same original standards as the well respected PZ units, let me know, we have one in stock, ready to go.
Price will be higher than their competitors, but you get what you pay for...
and when you are mowing with a Massey 168 with no suspension you just aint gonna go like crazy , being kind to your rear end is also conducive to been kind to your machineryThat's a very good point.
The PZs did years behinf the 135 and the 265... but would they have last as long behind a 4wd NH TS110? Of course not.
Good observation
I'm no hand on the roof to keep me in my seat kind of guy. Slow and steady wins the raceand when you are mowing with a Massey 168 with no suspension you just aint gonna go like crazy , being kind to your rear end is also conducive to been kind to your machinery
There is a fine line between getting the job done in time and going way too fast and breaking something. In my experience 9 times out of 10 if you break something it will be late at night/ bank holiday etc. = when there's no chance of getting a new part / repaired quicklyI'm no hand on the roof to keep me in my seat kind of guy. Slow and steady wins the race
Where l worked we messed up a couple of moco gearboxes by jumping from 110 to 170hp........People probably get carried away and go faster...just because they can.
What roof??? most two post ROPS have no roofI'm no hand on the roof to keep me in my seat kind of guy. Slow and steady wins the race
Part of the farm here is ex vineyards, mowing with the rows for the first 5-10 years is OK, but at some point you have to go across the rows tooand when you are mowing with a Massey 168 with no suspension you just aint gonna go like crazy , being kind to your rear end is also conducive to been kind to your machinery
Why?The postage will be a fright?
Why?
Weight and bulky for the ordinary couriers, no?
Also note that the earlier 4 belt mower uses a smaller shaft between the two drums than the newer 3 belt mowers, never had any problems lifting it when in use, only with the remains of hidden tree stumps from trees that I've never seen that were removed 50-60 years agoNever ever lift the older PZ165 when working or sure as anything the shaft between the two drums will crack then break. So the first thing you want to do is lift it.
I will tell you the worst "wobble " I ever had when cutting hay. I was just opening out a 60 acre field situated by a main road. It was a good crop and the grass was tall and very thick. The grass was flowering and the disc mower was kicking up a lot of pollen . It was just like fog. All of a sudden I saw a naked woman face down just a few yards in front of the cutterbar, in fact I stopped just in time before I hit the 'torso'. The 'murder victim' turned out to be a mannequin, a dummy from a shop that some clown had thrown over the hedge. Of course I breathed a sigh of relief, I got out of the cab and threw the damn thing in the hedge bottom but 2 or 3 rounds later my heart was still beating like crazy. Then a horse girl (Mrs Fred, obviously ) rides past and you wobble down to 2ft.
Only a pallet ride awayWeight and bulky for the ordinary couriers, no?
Delivery to Norfolk would be around £120 + VAT. Some self-assembly would be required, though, as it would be folded up.a joke i think....i've seen your mower to.....always look nice in the photos cos of the nice yard backdrop
