I find the Massey 7618 a lot more comfortable than the R series Deere I drive and the Mf 7716 I've got on hire at the min is very nice and goes well can't comment on reliability but they can't be worse than the 6140r deeres turbo obsession

Rite okay is the 7618 on mechanical cab suspension or pneumatic? It was early 2014 when we got ours, cabs used to bang like hell and throw you from side to side. They always talked of doing a modification but never did. Yep two of the previous R's had new turbo's at 2000 hrs, just after the warranty ran out but JD stood it..... Forgot about that!:whistle:

Mechanical but is a nice ride (y) the only thing I don't like is the rear linkage buttons the rocker switches of old were much better, this R series has had 6 turbos  has been swapped for a 6145r now so we'll see what happens there

We are currently Massey Ferguson users, but needing to upgrade our 6480. just wandering what everyone's thoughts are on experience with either brand and pros and cons of each?
We tried a 6175r, decided we couldn't afford it, and bought a 7718 having always been perfectly happy with all the Masseys we've had down the years.
Get a quote is my advice.

6 turbo's , thats ridiculous. I think are dealer would get embarrassed and take it away after the 2nd one died. Yes wasn't a fan of that either! Joystick for electric spools with forward/reverse and splitters on was good for mowing

We have currently got two dyna 6's and a vt at the moment. Big difference in the ride quality from the efficient to exclusive specification.! The main reason to change would be the use of the greenstar. Have you had any use of the equiviliant for Massey Ferguson?
I've got greenstar mobile RTK on my 6495, got jd's auto track controller fitted to tractor.

We run MF tractors , have two 76's and they are just scrap , buy a John Deere as a MF will just give you lots of problems & they will not do any thing to sort them out
To be fair ive had my share of MF related issues & on a whole all did eventually get sorted... but talk about taking a long time to do so, thats another story... Thankfully not dealers faulty really either....
Like ive said before 7600 not for me & 7700 isnt much better... i can wait till next range comes out...
lets hope they dont F that up aswell

Oh soz i still aint got me PTO power boost working right... No errors & dyno says all is as it should be.
But its not once you move the tractor... drops back into Torque Curve 1 in 2nd gear....

Drove a hired Valtra last season on maize for a bit, don't ask me what you call the gearbox it had, just seemed a hell of a delay between ranges and had a button under the armrest,is there a way you can stop the spools from locking theirselves as every load I came into the pit they had locked? I'm sure there must be a logical way but didn't stay in it long enough to find out
