Have posted this in the in the machinery forum should have posted it here first - Sorry for reciprocating!
We run a 54 reg RB25 Bateman 24m, 4 sections.
On our John Deere tractor we have John Deere Greenstar 2630 screen, SF3000 receiver, RTK accuracy, motorised steering wheel.
We could move the screen and receiver to the sprayer quite easily and would just need a different boss and could make the steering wheel fit if we wanted to (probably wouldn't move the steering wheel as majority of spraying is done on tramlines).
What equipment would be needed to link the greenstar to the sprayer and allow GPS linked section-control? Section control is currently done manually with the 4 buttons on the joystick.
How much would it cost? (ballpark figure)
Would it be viable? We currently farm spray 500 acres of arable annually, all combinable crops. Lots of small fields, average arable field size 18 acres, none of which are square!
Thank you in advance.
