had our bit of rye cut yesterday and today, not sure how its doing yet but will soon find out. Guys that have been cutting it reckon the Triticale has yielded just as well fresh weight.

one field was ors 2013 harvest (full of black grass) but after 2 spring barley's and a rye I could't find a black grass.

the other field has had one spring barley and a rye and has a bit of black grass in a wet area of the field where the rye really strugled, I would say no more than 10% had shed.

we have 600acres hybrid almost ready and i can't see how triticale can be anywhere near it. maybe to much / too many PGR's on the rye?
i will update on this post re the yields but they are looking way in advance f any non hybrid crops at the moment.
