Maybe you can retire, but a non related relation can start up next day.
You used to need a different Intervention Number.

I was told if you "sell" a limited company to someone the milk contract is with the company not the individuals. "heard" someone gained a milk contract that way.
There is a farmer in north Yorkshire who changed this spring, went up 6ppl overnight!! I think he had to put the business into his daughters name as him and his son were in the business.
I was told it cost him about £9000 in legal fee's but to wait where he was would have bust him !! Got the £9000 back in 6 weeks I was told !!

I have tried to get some legal advice but not got back to me yet! Might have to pay to get it done, will mean a big difference in milk price,so ld better get a shift on, thanks

We wound up one Limited company and started a new one the next day moving from Milklink to Wisemans. Milklink fair pee'd off but couldn't touch us. Did give them a few months notice of retiring etc.
