Greenstar sf1

Also use iTC with SF1, find it more than accurate enough for drilling (3m combi) I put the tramlines in with it later either fert spinner or sprayer. Much more accurate than the bout markers were!

Ok, got new tractor with sf1 activated. What width do people enter into greenstar for a 3m lemken combination with 20 coulters (15cm spacings) to drill with?

What are you drilling? If it's oilseed rape I'd go with the full working width as above i.e. end coulter to end coulter plus another coulter's width to get the perfect spacing. Osr won't matter if the spacing is a bit out as the plant will fill in any gaps. For shorter crops like linseed or spring barley any misses will show up through to harvest & annoy you (and give your neighbours something to laugh about).

Make sure your combi is dead centre of the tractor by adjusting the sway blocks/stabilisers. 2 inches to one side will become a 4 inch miss on one side and a 4 inch overlap on the other...

I used sf1 last week to drill and was pleased with its accuracy. I then made a mistake and paid for a sf2 activation hoping it would be even better but it has been worse for some reason. I have gone back to sf1 and come to the conclusion that sf2 and the universal steering wheel motor aren't a great match due to the delay and thereby constantly trying to steer?. Different settings have been tried with no great success.
Set it better. Keep playing with setting and get motor solid. Done plenty spraying with atu it will do it and on tractor have followed rtk strip tilling with beet drill with atu steering wheel and was spot on

Brisel I blocked half coulters of on drill so only back ones sowing rape ,just put a 12.5 cm offset in tractor to the right so it matched up All this lazy sheer is only as good as man setting it

Why? Are you planning on inter row spraying? Have you removed the front coulters?

Right-oh. ;)

I can see that yields don't suffer when using wider rows but that has been brought about by small seeder units with limited outlets & wide spaced subsoiler legs. For the same seed rate on wider spacings the gap between the plants along the row gets less. As long as the person asking is happy!
